Pixels Are Back, Baby
Introducing the PopCraft Pixel Studio — a full sprite editor, animation timeline and sprite-sheet exporter living right inside your design file.
The request I kept getting wasn't dark mode or a new export format. It was a single sentence, in a hundred different phrasings: "Can I draw my sprites in here too?"
Today the answer is a very loud yes.
A pixel canvas is just another layer
Drop a pixel canvas anywhere on your page. Set its size — 16×16 for an icon, 320×180 for a title screen — and double-click to start drawing. Everything else in your file keeps working around it: frames, components, comments, collaborators.
Pencil, line, shapes, bucket and contour fill, with pixel-perfect strokes that never double up on corners.
Frames, tags, onion skin and playback, with a layer × frame grid that will feel instantly familiar if you've used Aseprite.
PNG at any integer scale, SVG, animated GIF, and sprite sheets with Aseprite-compatible JSON for your engine.
The trick we're proudest of
Put text, shapes or images inside a pixel canvas and the GPU renders them straight to the pixel grid — thresholded to hard edges and snapped to your palette. Type a label in a real font and watch it become crunchy, palette-perfect pixel text. Change the font later and the pixels update.
Try it now
Pixel Studio is available today on every plan, including Starter. Open the editor, add a pixel canvas, and make something that goes blip.
