Your account
Signing in and out, teams, plans and AI credits, offline behaviour and the desktop app.
Signing in
PopCraft accounts are handled by Hypery.
Before you sign in you get one file, kept on this device, and the tools most people come to try: Design, Draw, and the pixel canvas inside them. It is a real file — it saves, it survives a reload, and you can export from it.
Signing in uploads that file to your account automatically, and unlocks the rest: more files, Animate, Prototype, Dev mode, boards, and everything in collaborating. Nothing is lost in the handover — the file you were working on is the file you keep.
Teams
Every file belongs to one owner: your personal space (My files on Home) or a team you are a member of. Teams are listed in Home's sidebar; click one to see its files.
- New makes the file where you are browsing. The New file dialog says which owner it will be made in, and you can change it there before you pick a template.
- In the editor, the team follows the open file: AI usage is billed to the team that owns what is on screen.
- New team… in the sidebar makes a team.
Plans
Each team has its own plan, and so does your personal space. To see one, click your avatar on Home, then Subscription, and pick the team. The dialog shows what the team uses (cloud files, storage), what each plan allows, and the AI credits left this month, and is where you subscribe, or cancel or resume a subscription.
Description
Home, signed in. The avatar opens the account menu, and Plan & AI credits asks which team’s plan to show: Personal or Brightside Studio. Brightside Studio is picked; its plan opens with the files and storage it uses, what each plan allows, and its AI credits.
- Click your avatar in the top right of Home.
- Click Subscription (Plan & usage in the App Store and Google Play versions, where buying is not offered).
- Pick the team whose plan you want to see.
- Read its usage and limits; subscribe at the bottom.

Storage counts a team's media (pictures, video, sound) and the files of the websites it has published, every version of them, until a site is deleted.
Studio is a team plan: it is offered for a team, not for your personal space.
Team editors are the members who can edit a team's files. Owners and admins always keep their role. When a team is at its plan's editor count, a member past it joins as a view-only guest at their next sign-in, until a seat frees up or the team upgrades. The team's Subscription dialog shows how many seats are taken.
The editor itself is not cut down on Free: every tool, every brush, the pixel studio, export and the plugin platform are all there. The limits are on how much you keep in the cloud and how many people you keep it with.
Signing out
Description
Home, signed in, with the team’s files listed. The avatar opens the account menu and Sign out is clicked. Home comes back signed out, on its welcome page with Start designing and Sign in, and nothing of the account is left on the device.
- Click your avatar.
- Click Sign out.
Home comes back signed out. For privacy, signing out removes everything the account left on this device: its files, media and settings stay in the cloud, not in the browser. It also signs out every other PopCraft tab in this browser: an open cloud file goes back to Home rather than staying open as someone it can no longer read as.
Working offline
PopCraft caches on your device, so:
- Files you already have open, open and edit offline. Changes are kept locally and merge back when you reconnect.
- The app itself loads offline. The shell is cached by a service worker.
- Creating a new file while signed in needs a connection, because the file is created in the cloud first. The editor says so rather than making one that exists on a single machine. (The one file you get before signing in is local by design, and needs nothing.)
The desktop app
There's a macOS app if you'd rather not live in a browser tab.
Download PopCraft for macOS — a universal .dmg for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Open it and drag PopCraft to Applications. Older versions and release notes are on the
releases page.
On top of the web app it adds:
- Tabs, one file per tab, each in its own process — a heavy file can't take the others down
- Local folders for plugins, widgets, fonts, UI themes and agent skills, loaded from disk
- Sign-in through your system browser
Deleting your account
Open Settings from the user menu and choose Delete account… under Account, then type the confirmation word. Three things happen straight away:
- Your sign-in account is deleted, along with its link to Sign in with Apple, Google or GitHub.
- Your cloud files, libraries, templates and plugins are hidden. Nobody can open them, and they leave the marketplace. Files in a team stay with the team.
- This device is wiped. Everything PopCraft keeps on it goes: local files, settings, plugins, fonts, themes and your sign-in. In the desktop app that includes its local folders. Other devices lose access within a few minutes, and their local copies are erased when they next sign out.
You have 30 days to change your mind. We email you a restore link. Open it, sign up again with the same email address, and choose Restore my account: your files, media, versions, libraries, templates and plugins come back where you left them. Team memberships don't come back with the account, so ask your teams to invite you again.
After 30 days everything is deleted for good: cloud files, media, versions, templates, libraries, access tokens and webhooks. The link stops working then too.
